Recycling Schemes

Recycling plans

These days, more than 70% of empty printer cartridges end up prematurely on landfill sites, where they need up to 1000 years to decompose. With the growing awareness of the population regarding recycled products, the customer is increasingly looking for environmentally friendly alternatives in comparison to the expensive brands that are originally provided with the printer.

Some customers are already aware that cartridges can be used up to six times. The millions of cartridges that we take back are cleaned, filled with high-quality ink, technically modified if necessary and are sold again. This process is more environmentally friendly than recycling that is performed by the original manufacturers, as this process for separating plastic and metal components is requires industrial processes that are based on heat. The material is melted in order to be used on other products or are simply scrapped prior to being disposed of as waste and therefore ends up on the landfill site again.

We aim to reduce the high volume of non-biodegradable waste on the landfill sites by encouraging customers to buy reconditioned cartridges and give us the empty ones.
